First Rolex

Recently, I finally got my dream timepiece, a Patek 5726.
As much as I love the versatility of the watch, I still needed a daily beater.
I thought about an IWC pilot top gun, JLC Polaris and Omega Seamaster.
I always knew Rolex were the toughest of them all so I decided on a 114060 with a Rubber B (thank you Rolex Forum :-) Glidelock XS (6.3” wrist)
Finally got it together and wow! I just love the watch.
The Rubber B makes it a lot lighter as well.
Only problem now, the piece looks too beautiful to be a daily beater!
Thank you very much to everyone on the forum for all the info that allowed me to make this choice.
Very happy indeed :-)

Congrats! That band looks great on the 114060. I’ve officially added it to my shopping list. Thanks so much for sharing!

Wow, that Patek though... just wondering how often do you get to wear the PP? And what do you do on a daily basis that makes you concerned about beating it up?

Double congratulations! The sub on that rubber strap looks great.

The 5726 is a fantastic watch, very desirable.

I do wear the PP very often.
I guess they have different purposes.
The Nautilus is more prone to scratches so depending on the activity I switch to the Rolex.
If I'm just running errands I'll wear the PP.

I just didn't expect to like the Sub so much and to look that good on the rubber strap

I went grey.
The PP AD I know doesn't carry Rolex and the few I contacted told me they were "fully committed". So I went grey for about $400 over what it would have cost me at a local AD.
