Amsterdam Vintage Watches Robbed

Well, this is sad:

https://amsterdamvintagewatches.com/stolen-watches/

Great shop I visited last year. Beautiful presentation of vintage Rolexes, and all the salesmen were super nice. Most of the watches stolen appear to be more modern. Presumably some of the super high-end vintage pieces are kept elsewhere when the shop is closed. Either way, a real shame. Be on the look-out for these serial numbers if you're in the market for buying.

So sorry to hear about this. These guys are stalwarts in the group of good, honest dealers.

Hope they're insured like a MF.

Isn't this the second time that something like this has happened to them this year?

We visited them in January and it's a nice shop; unfortunate but I guess this tends to happen more with the large (and somewhat showy) social media presence that they have.

Sad news. Favorite destination to me for decades. Mostly for window shopping but I had business with Paul at their first shop that had foundation problems, and he told me that himself at the time, long before this one at Singel. No place seems to be safe these days unfortunately.

Ugh. Trying to ballpark the overall value lost there and it’s staggering! Very sad to hear of this.

Why do people rob banks, museums or other businesses and properties? Nothing new!

That would be harrowing, the poor guys. I hope you get all of your watches back and these crooks are brought to justice. It looks like they stole a lot. It will be hard to keep a lid on all of this, they will screw up and one of the watches will get traced right back to them for sure.

Sad indeed, and especially with the personal connection.

Looking at the whole list is heartbreaking my friend. Even my unimaginative black Subs make me worry nowadays.
