Rolex 1675/3 which bezel do you prefer

when my 1675/3 underwent maintenance on my Rolex AD, they put a service bezel on me, but I kept the original, if they ever keep it ...... I'd rather not think about it. Well, how do you like it better with the original 1976 bezel or with the service bezel. it is true that the original bezel is a little worn and discolored. which one looks better or more vintage?

modern service bezel

original watch bezel from 1976

They both look great. I'm kind of surprised the font looks so fat on the service insert.

I like the original. The 6 looks great. I also like the chunks missing at 12 and 10. I have a fetish for vintage that show age... you can’t replicate that kind of patina

The original for sure. I bought mine with a service bezel and the first thing I did was source a nice faded original bezel.

I highly recommend David Silver's book "The Vintage Watch Company", a magnificent book with more than 1800 photographs of many vintage Rolex models. Here are some photographs of the 1675/3, some with a service bezel and others with the original.

Thanks Rafabond, That's exactly the opposite of what I thought you were going to say. The all brown one that came with mine is red on the back side. I will be looking for a true root beer bezel insert and would like to get a period correct version. Both look great on that watch!

If memory serves, the vintage all brown bezel on the back was a red-brown hue. only the two-tone bezel (brown and gold) was gold behind.

what do you think with a leather strap? Do you think it detracts or makes him downgrade?
