Oyster Precision 6694 Buying Advice
Hi everyone,
I‘m new and wondering, if this watch is authentic and if the components fit together. The seller says it‘s a reference 6694 with caliber 1225. The caseback says 6427. The year is 1950, case no. 707XXX. The dial is marked with T Swiss T. My concerns are: - Do the components (case, bracelet, dial, caliber) fit together and fit the production date? I thought the 6694 came later, hat a date and the no date caliber was 1220 instead of 1225. - The asked price is around 3.700€. Do you think that‘s way too high? Thanks a lot for helping me out! Greetings from Germany. Michael |

The watch is not a 6694, it is a 6426 and it is from 1961, not 1950. The price is all the money for the piece. I dont think the seller knows what they are selling.

Funny that the seller would misinterpret the serial number when the year is right inside the case-back. Even so, I don't know if a T SWISS T dial would be original to 1961, which seems too early for those markings, but you should do more research on that to be sure. There is visible corrosion on the movement, so definitely factor in the cost of service/repairs. Overall, it's a nice watch, but probably not all-original, and at a very high price IMO.

If the watch is from 1961 the dial should read swiss as the dial would be radium not tritium. Nothing seems original, the crown, dial, bracelet. A 6426 is not hard to come by and most will probably be on a strap. The price is way over the top, retail in uk about £2.5k.
