Rolex 6694 yellow dial
Hello,
I would be very happy if you could give me an assessment of the following 6694. I would like to give the watch to my daughter. Especially I am interested if the yellow dial is original. Thank you very much and best regards Alex |

This watch never came with a yellow dial.
It was added due to the recent interest in colored dials. |

This would appear to be a refinished / customised dial.
The printing is also a little off vs the original. |

Redialled 6694s like this have been around for a long time (prior to the recent OP colour dial craze). If your daughter likes the look of it, that's all that matters really. It was the entry-level Rolex till about 1989 so not hugely damaged, value wise. It will need a daily wind, though.

Thank you for your support. Unfortunately, the watch is not for me then. Found the yellow dial actually quite nice.

Rolex 6694 yellow dial
Yep - and some additional patience at the end of any month ending in 30, 29, or 28…or beginning of the following month…it lacks a quick-set date function.
Therefore, adjusting the calendar does involve a slightly longer process after winding it on the first morning of March, May, July, October, and December. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

On a 6694 it doesnt really matter since so many dials and parts are still readily available. It doesnt really effect the value of the watch at all IMO
