Since my favorite color is orange, it brings a very big smile to my face to see Czapek now offering an orange rubber strap option :)

This is simply wonderful, compliments to the new additional dress of the watch.
It really really fits perfectly.

The matter has been already mentioned in the past but … out of the 99 Adelie which could be a reasonable split of actually sold dial colors?
I understand from previous “grounded” comments shared here, that blu is not the most sold, maybe is the Secret Alloy but I would guess that Burgundy may fall in the range of 5-10% of total 99, therefore less than (not reaching) 10 existing units in the world ever made (and no more produced) making in that case the Burgundy the most rare of the dials versions so far issued of Antarctique (including Drake’s LEs, SEs, collaborations, Osmium, etc). Apart of course any unique bespoke version produced by Czapek upon specific client request.

Wow, really nice! Congrats on one of, if not the very first S version (the Osmium doesn’t count ) It looks really great!

Thank you :) I happened to try the Osmium at the dealer here. 'Stunning' is an understatement. Crappy picture here which I shouldn't share because it does not do it justice:

I can only extrapolate from what I delivered.

40% Secret Alloy
40% Deep Blue
20% Burgundy

And one piece unique salmon.

Yeah I have seen it in real life too, it's really out of this world! Truly unique and beautiful dial. But the Passage the Drake is stunning too in that light blue.

How are you liking the size? And how is the bracelet for you? And did you also get the additional straps?

size is perfect. I tried the 40.5mm with the same color dial and it looked too big for my wrist even though most of my watches are 40mm Rolex's. I guess, its because the watch is mostly "Dial", minimum writing + no bezel, light color etc.. Bracelet is very nice, comfortable, It didn't come with the micro adjustment clasp (which it should) nor the rubber strap, I wrote to them about it.
Overall though, even under a loupe, very impressed.

I totally had the same sentiment. The Antarctique almost has no bezel and therefore appears larger than it actually is. My preference is also the S. Good to hear you are liking it and I hope you will get your extra strap soon.

Question for the group - let's say you have an PDD glacier blue on order with the double indices.

Would the release of the CW Twelve, and its similar double indices at the top, impact the choice? I realize imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but if you still had the chance to make a change, would you? Modifying to the "12" creates more differentiation in the dial (yes, I know there's many differences as covered above). That said, its hard to go against my original choice.

Thanks!

I have that precise order. Glacier blue with double indices.
I am leaving my order as is. I don’t care if any other watch looks similar.
There will always be people that agree and disagree with you, so my advice is get what you like most and forget other people and opinions.

Regards
Hein.

No, I would not change. I don't think the CW looks that similar to the Czapek in the first place. But even if you do, get the one you like. Don't let the tail wag the dog.

Buy what you like and you can't change how the rest of the world do. For Czapek I feel the 12 index is their hallmark even it looks a bit out of place in the antarctique. So if I were getting one I will go for the 12 index anyway.

Well, the Twelve is widely associated, on and out the web, with the Antarctique, especially the double index.
And if you are asking the questions, you also have this buzz.
Now, would it be an issue? For me, not at all.
I personally prefer the Czapek 12 dial, but had I preferred the double indexes, I would have not changed my preference for the existence of any similar or similarized watches out in the mkt.

Looking forward to the post-honeymoon report!

Can you say more about your choice to purchase a 38.5 vs. 40.5? I'm considering similar - if I were to buy an RO, I'd go 39mm, for example - but the dial options are very limited with the S models.

Czapek

I have to say as great as the bracelet is, the rubber is so fun and completely changes the look/feel. I know this is a crazy statement but it’s almost an aquanaut and nautilus in one.
This watch is spectacular and everyone waiting (Which sux) has something special on the way. It’s worth it!

No doubt this piece (ice white with the big 12 for me) has nearly cured me of my desire for any other "sport watch with integrated bracelet or rubber strap". Wears great, looks great, easy to dress up and down, water resistant enough. I may have to treat myself to a second more colorful rubber strap. I cut mine one notch too short so it's great for cooler weather, but I could use another for hot climates. I like that getting an OEM strap in a different color doesn't require a personal statement essay and mooching with sales people to acquire. Enjoy that killer piece
