The Parole Office
The thread "Is this watch destroyed" reminded me of a funny story.
Quite a while back, a guy goes into his local parole office for his monthly visit. The Parole Officer noticed this man wearing a gold Rolex and asked him where he got it. This guy said he "found it" and starting wearing it. The Parole Officers wife or girlfriend, worked in a local jewerly store, so he seized the watch and took it to them to have the serial number read. With the serial number in hand, they found out who the owner was. The watch was stolen from a home during a home invasion robbery 3 days before. The owners were hurt, but still alive. Badguy back in prison for a long time. Rolex owner has his watch back Make sure you register your watches with Rolex.
