the date change starts a 10:00pm
the winding is pretty rough

I was debating about getting this same watch from my AD. I've come to really like the Steve McQueen Explorer II. Since they no longer make the Steve McQueen Explorer and I can't justify the gray market value of it, this Black Bay Pro would be my only option.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "the date change starts a 10:00pm?" I already have the Black Bay GMT and gifted my son the white dial chrono when he graduated college. I really wanna like the Pro. Can you tell me why you think the bracelet is bad? Thank you in advance!

the date wheel starts turning at 10:00pm unlike rolex that snap changes at around 12:00am
the bracelet quality itself isnt too bad for the price. my main complaint is there is not half link.
the movement works fine and no problem which is a big plus
the design is the winner for me. highly legible even the date.

this will be a good dependable travel watch

Great Toy! I love mine and the bracelet works for me. My only disappointment was that I somehow scratched the crystal within a couple of days of getting it!!

Have you also considered a rubber strap, would look great with this watch, I use a Barton Elite strap which is black on the top with yellow on the side and underside, would look really good with the BB pro.

Also, it’s a great watch, but please tell me you tuck that NATO in and don't wear it like that?! It looks a bit like you forgot to buckle your belt together on your trousers...

Congratulations! I was fortunate enough to get mine within a week of when they were released at Watches & Wonders in 2022. Just a few observations from your comments:

Date Change from 10pm & rough winding definitely sounds wrong - I have not experienced those issues with mine. If you have the Tudor warranty card for it, there should be a fair bit of time left on it’s 5 Year Warranty, so get it sent in to RSC for peace of mind.

Bracelet - I believe you can get half links from Uncle Straps to dial it in for perfect fit, but I highly recommend the integrated rubber strap from Vanguard Straps. It is good quality, very reasonably priced and I find makes the watch far more comfortable to wear for long periods and in the great outdoors.

Overall, the BB Pro is incredible value for money and the thickness once you are wearing it really isn’t the major issue that many would have you believe. Modern Explorer II is too big for my wrists unfortunately, but when you take into account that the BB Pro has an extra 100m of WR and the T-fit clasp, it truly is a great modern tool watch.

Enjoy!

Congrats on your Black Bay Pro which has a nice vintage look to it.

Your comment about the winding being pretty rough would have me a bit concerned though as this is something I check when buying a watch. It's an expensive enough watch that should have smooth winding action.

Wear it in good health.

Cheers!

I have a BB Pro which i bought in 2022 and have been wearing it quite often and the watch that i wear for travels and hiking.

The winding is same as the rest of the BB and the date change is a couple minutes after 12. And it change immediately just like a Rolex.

I would suggest to send it to the RSC for check.

Congratz on your new watch!

I own one and it's been my daily since 2023, I concurred with some of the members that the date wheel change from 10pm doesn't sound right. Mine changed a couple of minutes past 12am.

Good news, it was a real bonus when Tudor increased their warranty from 2 to 5 years to match Rolex.

Congrats! Nice looking watch. There are companies that sell high quality aftermarket half links for Tudor bracelets. I have one on my BB58, which is also 39 mm. I like doing the simple tasks related to this hobby, so had fun getting the bracelet right.
