First of all, I hope you got my message. And that was not a marlin it is a swordfish. It was caught on an electrical reel (sorry but it was daytime, I don't like button fishing I rather fight it on a rod and reel but thats not the way it is done in the daytime).

Deep dropping in 2400 feet of water with Power Pro braid with squid on a drift. You down 3 hooks and you make sure that the squid is big enough to keep the rosies from eating the bait. You drift until you see the tug. Then you hit the button with finess because if you get too greedy it will break the line or you can rip the hook.

The rig is a swordfish rig not a daisy chain but similar. Going out again this week, hopefully I will catch something. If I do, I will mail it to you in dry ice.
