Thank you so very much for inviting us to York, Dan! We all did not have such fun in a long time. Your city is great and the weather was just beautiful, you picked a wonderful place for us to stay.



Day one at the show, meeting many new friends…thanks to Blaine and Mark. We met Dell Deaton at his presentation of Bond watches and the history of it…what a great lecture and too many people showed up for all to have a seat! Great reception at the museum. Thank you Dell to take so much time for us!

The next day we visited Watch museum again…outstanding huge collection. When you go to York, you have to visit and take a lot of time.

The group did grow and more and more members arrived. The hotel lobby looked like a little watch show itself and we attracted Antoinette to ask some questions…she could not believe what she looked at and after a short amount of time she logged into her computer and TRF and with Marie’s help she became a member and started posting with an avatar…all this within the first 2 hours of meeting us!

Part 2, some more pictures of fantastic times in YORK

We left to have some drinks before dinner and Antoinette and John were able to go with us for a short amount of time.

The Dinner at the Left Bank was outstanding…now we know why Dan is a frequent eater in there! I guess all the other guests in there knew after a few minutes that we all were nuts…I have not laughed so hard in a long time! What a TRF group that came together. I could not figure out who was drinking my wine and steeling my forks for a while…Thanks Jimmie for taking the group picture after dinner, the only reason why you are not in there.

I still can't beleive it's over already We've had such a GREAT time, that is the most fun I've had in a LONG time. If we all lived near each other, I can assure you, there will
1. be many arrests (haha)
2. many local bars/restaurants would get to know us,
3. I'd definitely over spend on my travel budget lol

So yes, we HAVE to start planning our next GTG. I'm already all "used up" for my vacations this year (that's what she said), so for me it will have to be at some point next year. There is another thread about our next GTG in Philly, so I'll venture over there.
