ROLEX OYSTER - can you please help to authentificate

Hello everyone, I am complete newbie here and a newbie with Rolex. So this is my very first piece, bought yesterday as a pre-loved, certified off Ebay. Can you please look at the link? I would like to hear your opinion whether it might be auth or not (any red flags?). TIA

ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL Lady, bought in 2000, made aprox. middle 1999 (according to its serial no.).

Many thanks for your time :) Well, I have been on Ebay for years, so I completely understand your "seller point". Well, there have been so many fakes around, so that to be little paranoid comes simply naturally. There have been 2 things those made me little crazy about the purchase - the bezel looks little different from the regular fluted ones I have ever seen on Oyster, and the color combination (which BTW I really really love) is not really common - the watch is all silvertoned, while the bracelet is the only part with yellow gold... It might be just my inside 'alarm'.

The watch looks good to me .. It is possible that the previous owner had the bezel changed .. It is not uncommon to see a aftermarket bezel on Rolex watches .. Perhaps you can find a factory gold bezel if you ever decide to change it back .. Welcome to TRF .. Enjoy your new Rolex

Get pictures on a specific time and your name on it to see if he actually has this watch.

Thanks, unfort. been a little late by now, I think this piece is on the way to me by now..

BTW ha sold these JAEGER LECOULTRE couple days ago - his pics were taken on exactly the place, and in exactly the same way as the Rolex. And received FDB already. Along with the rolex, he was selling couple more timepieces - as long as I remember - Breitling, and Omega. So will wait and see his FDB.

it is a franken watch, am i the only one who see's the model number 79240 as a problem, the watch is orignally a steel only ladies rolex with engine turned steel bezel, and steel band

I have gone through a lot of forums and pictures so far - you are right. 79240 stands for a steel Rolex Oyster - so the seller's desciptions is wrong. The bracelet -most probably- has been exchanged for the one with yellow gold. That is why the bracelet looks to be in much better condition than the case.. (my thoughts)
Otherwise - does this piece looks good to you?

Everything else looks ok but it cost $1000 dollars for a new steel band so the end price may not be cheap at all, and if the seller made this glaring error, what other parts are wrong inside he shows no movement pictures, i cant read german so i can not tell you. I would not bother, get a correct one to start with.

Thank you all for your comments. Unfortunatelly (or maybe fortunatelly, who knows?) the transaction turned out to a total fiasco. The Seller contacted me that his Paypal account had been closed and that he lost the access into it completely. And simply - he is not going to ship anything. He didnt care that I had paid, he said, he didnt have any money - Paypal did. So there are no money, no watch Been in process with PP now, and it will take a while to get my payment back. oh lord..
