Alligator/Croc Belts?

I'm in the market for a nice alligator or crocodile belt. I'm looking for something without a lot of sheen that can also be worn fairly casually. Any recommendations on makers to look at?

I came across these guys- www.dantedifirenze.com But I haven't been able to dig up much info about them. It looks to be of good quality and the price seems reasonable. Any suggestions?

Try Tim's boots. They have outstanding croc and alligator belts far more reasonable than a lot of places. http://www.timsboots.com/belts.html
I've bought a lot of Boots and Belts from them.
All the best

Since you want something casual I think these are the best of the best... A belt for real men! Hand made by Crocodile Dundee himself. I'm sure Chuck Norris would buy one!

You know what, your right. I'm going to head east to Louisiana in the morning and kill me a "gahtuh". Anybody have a copy of "alligator hide tanning for dummies" I can borrow for a few days?

You laugh but I had a guy that brought one into my shop to have us make all of the above. His hide was tanned black and was off a 12 footer. I felt bad for him as he didn't seem to realize there is a considerable amount of wasted skin.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I ended up ordering one from www.alligatorleather.com The maker actually catches alligators, tans hides, and builds. All made in the USA! The little bit of research I did it seems they are of very high quality. I guess I will know before long!

All my belts are W. Kleinburg (I get them from neiman's). They have a wide variety of skins/colors, interchangable buckles, and aren't too expensive.

They aren't a tannery, but they do use a good one. The tannery they get most of their alligator from is the same as LV and Gucci. They use grade 1 hides which is the most favorable. Good selection! The prices are right in line with what they should be!

Oh ok I was a bit misinformed! But I'm glad to hear that they use good quality material. I'm thinking about trying a wallet from them as well if I'm happy with the belt. Thank you for the info!
