Cool piece.

While its not exactly my personal "cuppa tea" style-wise, its definitely not an Audemars Piguet you'll see everyday (not that you see any AP daily in most places!) and it has unique presence that is distinct to the era in which it was made.

Plus, that 2121 movement is simply fantastic...one of the finest haute horlogerie calibers ever created, possibly THE finest in a self-winder. Ultra-thin, ultra beautiful, and a fascinating long history behind its creation and use in various watches by PP, VC, and AP. Today, an exclusive crown jewel in Audemars Piguet's lineup of mechanical movements (as only AP has rights to it now).

The caliber on his watch is not a 2121!!! It is a caliber 2120 as it has no date aperture. The 2121 comes with date and no seconds, while the 2122 comes with date and seconds.
