7 World Records Date
Could someone tell me when Rolex started, and discontinued, the "7 World Records" motto on their watches?
Thanks! |

I think that was a 1920s/early 1930s thing

Rolex Prince Case Back
Thanks!
I am trying to narrow down the date of manufacture of my Rolex Prince Brancard. I thought it was made in the the mid-1930s, but I believe that the 7 World Records motto was discontinued in the 1920s. |

The serial number charts put your serial number at about 1938. I think it's earlier. Do you have a photo of the whole watch? Might help narrow it down

The Watch
Images of the watch.
Prince Brancard I had thought because of the serial number it was late 1930s. However, the "7 Records" would seem to indicate late 1920s. I believe the 7014 is the movement serial number. |

Date of the "7 World Records"
After a little research I discovered that the "7 World Records" was apparently used on cases between 1922 and 1928.

Rolex Oyster serial number have nothing to do with Prince models. Late 20s sounds about right for this model.
