Gold for Disney?
Upcoming trip with my family. The YG GMT would look great in the Florida sun. Saw lots of gold DDs, Daytonas, etc. there last year. Can't get past the idea of lots of rides with metal drop bars, though. No dents, no way! Should my SS SubC be the workhorse?

Wore my TT 16613 Sub there last August for 2 weeks. Did all the rides and attractions and never got a nick or ding. Have fun and don't worry about the watch.

I wore my YG YM2 to WD. No issues but quite a few furtive glances.

I'm going in April and mentioned to my wife the other day that I have to figure out which watch to wear there. She of course rolled her eyes... I'm thinking either g shock or sub. I know they are very different, but with some swimming and other activities either one should be a good fit.

I just spent 5 days wearing my 116718 while traveling for work. Loved every minute with it. A fantastic travel watch.

My Day-Date II survived hiking up a mountain in Poland to explore castle ruins with out a bump or scratch , I have no doubt your gold GMT can handle the Magic Kingdom. Go Gold, enjoy your trip. Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk

Life is full of bangs, bumps, tumbles and falls.
Certainly the most practical metal for a tool / working watch is stainless steel and ceramic is not the best construction material for a bezel due to the fragility of that material. In addition, the older style clasp "might" lack the comfort of the newer version, however, with the additional parts and welds used in the construction, the failure / damage potential is much greater as well.

The question is....Why wouldn't you wear your SS Sub??? Its Disney and not a adult gambling casino weekend. Its a casual family vacation right?? Seems like that's what you bought your SS Sub for. If you can't wear it to casual activities, you might as well sell it. To me this is like driving the Porsche 911 in the snow storm when you have a Rang Rover in your other garage bay.

Disney isn't the best part of town to wear a rolex. I'd hate to see Mickey rob you in broad daylight..... Might be best for me to hold your watch for safe keeping while your there
