Thinking of ditching the Deepsea for a 116613LB
Or maybe even another SubC. Thought I'd get over it, but it's just not "Rolexy" enough for me (no cyclops, not shiny enough, etc.).
Was really hoping for a 42mm Sub from Basel, but since that's not going to happen now, gotta do something. Anyone gone from a DSSD to a two-tone sub? My only concern is only Havingthe two-tone and not something black like the Sub. Worried I might get bored.

I flipped my 116613 LB after two months and replaced with a 116710 LN.
The Bluesy was a bit too bling for me and the sunburst dial meant there was a bit too much going on. The GMT on the other hand is awesome.

I had a DSSD and liked it very much but to me the SubC is the best sport model watch out there. I went to an LVC but I am lusting for the flat blue 116613 lb. I must have one! Good luck

Jon, Sell the Hockey Puck and get a 116613 or a 16613 ( wears a little softer ).
It's a no brainer ... |

Probably not a 16613, I still think 40mm is too small, but if I want a Rolex (and not a Deepsea) my options are limited.

I had a TT DJII, and sold it due to boredom. Bought a IWC Yacht Club, and now looking to move on to a DSSD.

You want a 42mm black Rolex with a cyclops? Look no further - the Explorer II is for you.

When I owned both, I certainly preferred the 116613LB. It is just far more comfortable and much easier to wear on a daily basis...

Go for it. The bigger lugs of the 116613 will make it wear larger than a 16613.

The DSSD in my mind is an instrument for very serious diving exploration. It serves a job that's not often challenged by your average watch consumer. It falls into a very unique category. And it may not provide a holistic versatility that some owners may be seeking.

Just for clarification (if it helps), my waning interest in the Deepsea has nothing to do with its size (I like the size) or its fit (no problems there either). I just don't think it has an iconic enough Rolex look & feel for me, which is I guess what I'm looking for right now.
I used to get compliments and people asking or commenting about my SubC all the time. I've owned the Deepsea for 6 months, and not a single one. Makes it feel very lonely and unloved. :)

It's hard to beat the classic look of a 16613. What about ND Subc ? (lot's of $$ back in your pocket then )
