It is not just the US that has crazy tort laws and/or judges,,,,

A judge in Ireland has awarded a woman Euro 275,000 after she suffered a stroke after being hit by a golf ball .... Finding it hard to see the liability on the part of the golfer but what do I know

I would have thought that the Golf Club's 'Public Liability' insurance would have been the only entity that could be held responsible for such an event.
Anyone on a Golf Course (or the verandah of the clubhouse) has to accept that they could be hit by a golf ball (or fall down the steps, or fall into the water hazard, etc)
It amounts to suing a golfer for hitting a golf ball on a golf course. Ridiculous.
