I'd not sell two classic black watches for a gold one, but I'm not a big fan of yg. If you think it's a nice move go for it.

Go for it if that is what you want to do...Why not. Also best advice get what you want not what we think you should get.

I kinda like the YG GMTc. I'm in my thirties so YG's certainly not an old people's watch.

I would go for YG if you think you can handle YG. IMO, anyone over around 30's can handle full YG.

I am among those who used to think a full yg watch was too much. Over time, hanging 'round these parts, I came to a complete change of heart. If you wear it naturally, it will look great. That said, I don't think a collection that consists only of yg pieces will be very versatile.

I think it's a great idea...although I think the GMT or even Sub would pair better with the DDII. Which one did you get?

I agree 100% and that is why it is important to add RG, WG and Platinum over time. Isn't that right Mike aka Kilyung?

I'd keep one SS watch.

But if it's what you really want, go for it!

Yellow Gold Daytona

116718 is my Grail Watch so I'm biased. I don't think I'd consider flipping my 16610 to make it happen though. I just love it too much so my only solution will be to add it to the collection! Maybe someday.....

It's me or the YG daytona looks more casual and every day than the YG green dial GMTII ?

Until I bought my first PM watch, I did not understand your situation. Go for it as there is nothing like wearing gold. Make sure you are buying only the ones you like and enjoy.

Go ahead and do it... 2 SS watches do not equal 1 PM IMHO

As for Gold Daytona vs GMT, that depends what you want, I think gold GMT will catch more attention from afar, but up close daytona looks much better.

Well I'm certainly not getting any younger and I've been thinking about gold lately, so there is a connection.

I think I'd prefer a gold Daytona to a gold GMT. WG is more discrete, but yellow gold is such an alluring color.

Had the YG Green faced GMT and I still regret selling it. I don't think Rolex makes a dial like that for any other of their watches. Haven't seen one recently but the Green on the GMT is different than on the Sub.

I was to my AD the other day and he told me that he has a 2013 YG Daytona White Dial in a very good price (15.000 euros) and i came up with the idea...
About the GMT always I was loving the green of the YG GMTII but not a fun of the Green Sub propably cause I believe that YG and green make a perfect contrast !

2013 model should be still under warranty, the pricelist is like Euro 30k ? - if the watch is in good condition you just found a bargain there

The condition is really good , ok some minor scratches in the bracelet but thats ok ! The price is really really amazing but I dony know....is a bit womanish or its my idea in comparison with the YG GMTII ?

While a selection of PM models definitely adds some versatility to the collection, I'd be quite content wearing just YG if it so suited me. I mean a collection of YG Daytonas, GMTs, Subs, YM2, SkD, DD/DD2 isn't exactly restrictive.
