I also have just read your story for the first time. Wow - you showed a super human amount of resilience and persistence to survive!
Please enjoy your vintage GMT Pepsi in good health. An amazing watch to commemorate an even more special event. Glad you're here to tell the tale. |

Well, another year has passed, and I'm still here to celebrate!
I'm heading over to Austin Texas this weekend to check out the new surf park designed by Wavegarden. With a little luck, I will be the oldest surfer to successfully get tubed on the high end "reef waves"... I'll post pics if I live to tell the tale! Life is good. Be safe.

What a story, congrats on your watch and more importantly for surviving a very challenging situation. As a surfer in much colder waters, I will consider your story when I go out in certain conditions. Enjoy the watch and wear it more than just special occasions!

Oh, my. Impressive. Inspiring. Even after rereading your original post I'm not sure what's mightier -- your physical or inner strength. Very happy you lived to tell the tale -- and what a kick to have that watch . . . and with that inscription. You should drop Tom Selleck a note . . .

Very glad to hear you survived this! An incredible story and awesome post. I hope you continue to wear your GMT in good health, it is well deserved, to put it lightly.

Not quite daily yet, but a lot more often than before...it's such a cool watch, I really enjoy that I am the guy that gets to take care of it for the next few years! When I really feel frisky, then I switch it over to a Coke or Black bezel!

Hey Guys:
Another year has passed and I'm still here! Not only that, I still surf as often as there are good conditions... Hurricane Nate gave us some clean 3-5 footers south of the jetty... Just remember that a bad day at the beach is better than a good day at work, especially if you have a Pepsi GMT on the wrist! PS CBS saw fit to take down the video interview; I'm guessing that Harry Smith was tired of saying the same things, over and over...
