Advice about what dial to pick
Am thinking about buying a 31mm Datejust steel/white gold fluted bezel with jubilee bracelet. However I can't decide on the dial. As it stands right now I am either looking at a white mop with diamonds or a plain white with roman numbers. Need some advice.
Thanks! |

You cannot go wrong with either one of those choices if you ask me... The roman dial is a little more casual than the MOP diamond dial, so it depends on your style. Or what you intend using it for. If it's for an everyday watch I would go with the roman, if you want to reserve it for weekends, or special occasions, go with the diamonds!

Hi and welcome to TRF! Nice to have another gal onboard!
The two you have chosen are both beauties! I don't think you can go wrong with either. I actually have a DJ (I wear the full size men's 36mm) with white roman dial and ADORE it. Very clean and chic and I never tire of it. It's a timeless look. I also have a silver diamond dial DJ and while it is elegant, I have to say I prefer the white dials; always have. The white MOP dial is definitely eye-catching. My advice would be to take the watch outside the AD's store and see if you can get a good look at in in natural light...each piece of MOP looks different as you're aware. Sometimes there are strong pink/green tones which you may/may not like. Best of luck! Keep us posted! |

White Mother of Pearl with Diamond
If your budget allows, go for the White Mother of Pearl with Diamond.
It is gorgeous looking, classy and likely you'll never looking to upgrade to that dial in the future. Unless that dial does not appeal to you of course.

Its interesting that some AD's don't know what they are selling. Went to an AD on Bond street today that tried to tell me that there is a gray mop with diamonds. What he was showing me was the golddust. No white MOP with diamonds today though lets see what I can find tomorrow

Hi,
I am interested in buying that same watch, thought for sure I wanted it with the black diamond dial, went to a couple of AD's today and saw it with a blue diamond dial and black MOP. Also really beautiful, the black MOP was outstanding. I must say I am partial to the diamond dial, the white MOP is beautiful, can be sporty or dressy depending on what you are wearing. I wish you the best in picking out your watch! Leigh |

Oh, it's so beautiful!
I tried that on today, along with the black, and black MOP. The blue is just so elegant and classy. Hmmmm, maybe blue for me too? Thanks so much for the pic! Leigh |

Not a big fan of the diamond dial. Now the roman dial is a different story.

My wife also likes the MOP with diamonds and white romans. If I were a girl (AND I'M NOT, LISA) I'd grab either the copper dial or the light blue concentric dial. The mid-size datejust is a beautiful watch on a woman with just about any dial, IMHO. Post some pics of whatever you choose.

Either get the silver diamond dial, black diamond dial or go all the way to black mop diamond dial Btw, To whom it may concern, I just talked to RSC in Dallas recently, they say the black mop diamond dial is available for 178274 when ordering, but not for dial swapping... Those ADs have been lied to me they could not get it...so I can buy what they have in stock....that is bad that you can not trust the ADs anymore. |
