Help me decide, 14060m vs 114060

I deliberated over the choice between the 14060M and 114060 for a long time. My best advice is to try them both on, preferably next to each other if you can.

I thought the 14060M felt small. I was used to my 41mm SMP at the time however. It felt like it was a 39mm watch and the 114060 felt like a full 40mm. The glidelock is really awesome but the old bracelet's light weight is great too. And don't forget lug holes! I use lume daily whereas I only wear NATOs occasionally. The new lume is awesome!

In the end I wanted a new watch. The 114060 is wonderful, but you can't do wrong either way. Just personal choice.

14060 is the classic choice.
It is a modern watch with the vintage Rolex looks.
It is the perfect watch for a guy who needs a watch which he can wear everywhere.

On the other hand the new Sub is improved on every aspect.

It is a matter of personal preference.

Ok so the glidelock solid bracelet is superior, but the ceramic is very shiny- flashy and the lugs are very square. Where are you wearing it? Strictly casual? If you prefer the ceramic look get it, warranty alone is important. But if you wear a dress shirt every day, it won't fit well unless you get custom shirt or maybe French cuffs. The ceramic is a bulkier flashier watch- 14060m is the better match and fit with a dress shirt. Can wear it with anything. The lume is temporary- fleeting. Shouldn't make your decision on lume.

One of my hesitations about the 14060m was the bracelet but I came across this interesting thread about the 93150 bracelet which gave me a whole new appreciation for it.

The 114060 is better made with a fabulous bracelet. the 14060 is an altogether classier looking watch.

Not a bad predicament to be in. I recently had the same "problem". I too have small wrists and worried about the Cerachrome (I think that is what it's called) being too "flashy". I even walked around the block before I pulled the trigger; the AD probably thought I was casing the store lol I went with the Ceramic, and haven't looked back. It's an amazing watch, feels great, and as someone else noted the chroma light (blue lume) looks outstanding. The glide lock is great. I thought maybe input from someone with small wrists as well may help. It's personal preference and no wrong answer; either way ur getting a Rolex Sub! Best of luck!

There's a lot of talk about how the bracelet on the subc is better which i totally agree with but you also need to consider if you will be switching it out for a nato or leather strap. If so, i dont think the subc looks good at all with a nato. The 14060m looks much better due to the smaller lugs.

It's a hard choice. I think it depends on things like the wirst size and your collection. In my view, the sub C is a much better quality watch, but it's heavier and bigger. The previous models are lighter and easier to wear for every day.... I own a sub c and I love it. For me, I would choose the sub C because it's a better watch in overall. Good luck.

I have. Five digit wins in my book.

114060 is on paper a better watch. Glidelock with a better bracelet, ceramic bezel and maxi dail.

But here’s the thing. A 14060 is just so much more comfortable on my wrist with the slimmer case and bracelet makes it a great watch.

As for the bracelet with glidelock. The clasp is much thicker and feels clumsy when your going from a 93150. This is from experience and can’t recall ever reading about that. It’s worth mentioning and when the clasp build more it scrathes so much easier at the desk for example. This however is not a problem with 14060.

But... As for always. You can’t go wrong.

The old clasp is slightly narrower but thickness is the same on both. The Glidelock clasp housing is actually thinner but the folding bars make the overall thickness the same. Here are a few photos for reference: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=143595

In my experience the Glidelock clasp wears thinner due to the rounded folding bar. Both clasps are easily scratched if worn normally.

But, everyone has their preferences. I still appreciate the older stamped clasp on 5-digit models.

114060 ... I had it, sold it, and will rebuy it.. miss it everday... it's such a beauty. Everything reflects off the ceramic... It's total perfection.

14060 without a doubt IMO.
Thinner case, nicer proportions, better profile, wears more refined, and just has that perfect touch of utility to it. I personally am not a fan of the modern exploded lugs on 6 digit models, but it is of course a personal preference.
