Buy for investment? Nothing would be your best choice. If you absolutely have to spend money on the hopes that the watch market doesn't crash - maybe a mint complete Zenith Daytona.

Investment watch? Not right now wit current production imho. None of the above UNLESS you're talking a very rare vintage timepiece you find at a great price. Even modern Pateks are drowning in market saturation and going for low money second hand with only one or two exceptions.

AP 15300 is discontinued so might be a good buy, and adds to your variety.

How do you find the BLNR vs the Panerai? I'd like to own both of these but can't decide which to get first. Does the BLNR feel small in comparison or does it still feel substantial enough on the wrist?

Hi, terrific collection and watch winder. The 116520 seems to have slipped into obscurity since the announcement of the 116500LN. Many years from now there will be a generation of collectors that will ultimately have the means to seek that controversially hard to get watch for the nostalgia.

I know this was intended for the original poster, but having worn both GMT IIC and Panerai (44mm/45mm) in the past, they are very, very different. The Panerai is definitely larger and has a lot of weight to it, particularly on top. The GMT feels much lighter and more low key. My advice (without having seen your collection) is GMT first. As a daily wearer the GMT is better suited IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
