Rolex Show at my AD- Southern California

To any and all TRFers in SOCAL, (or SouthWest) Ben Bridge, where I bought my Daytona, is having their anual Rolex show this Friday, the 26th from 10 until 8. It's usually very interesting as they have vintage (pre-owned) pieces, a huge selection of the contemporary stuff, and special deals. For example, I think on that day only they offer terms like one year-same as cash financing.

If anyone is interested in directions or info please let me know. Also, if you're looking for a specific piece, (Don't say a SS Daytona) I know the manager and they may be able to arrange to get the watch that day for your inspection.

Good Weekend to everyone.

Just make sure when you go to this "show" that you are familiar with pre-owned pricing. I have been these events before and the prices are still high IMO. The positive side is that you are buying from an AD, the watches are only pieces that were sold by BB before so they know they are authentic and each watch comes with a 1 year BB warranty. The downside is they do not come with Box & Papers and are still pricy. Its worth a look, mainly mens & womens DJ & DD, almost no Rolex sport models. You will see Tag, Omega and an occasional PP.

Thanks Paul - Is that at all Ben Bridge or the one down in your neck of the woods?

I went to this same event at Ben Bridge in SF last weekend and there were a lot of crazy bling pieces- more bling than tools. They didn't have any vintage or pre-owned and only a few sport watches. Hope the one in SoCal is better.

Do all of them do this because the salesperson at the one in the Mission Viejo Mall mentioned this event as well, but theirs is on October 16th.

The Ben Bridge at the Santa Anita mall in Arcadia has their Rolex show on Oct. 19th I believe. What are the chances they are willing to deal on a GMTII-C on that day? I asked about a discount last week and they gave me the standard Rolex does not allow discounts speech.

Sorry everyone, here's the address:
4545 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego CA 92122

It's in the UTC (University Town Center) mall. Not a huge mall but a pretty nice one if you're in to shopping, they have a little bit of everything. From the I-5, take the La Jolla Village exit and go East, it's about a mile down the road on the corner of La Jolla Village and Genesse, you can't miss it. I honestly don't know if they'll wheel and deal on the new pieces, my guess would be no, but if you're a good bargainer, you could probably work something with the vintage. I can tell you the last couple years it's been good, with plenty of selection, both vintage and new. I'll head in there tomorrow and speak with the manager to get some specifics, I wouldn't want anyone making the trip to be dissapointed. Talk at you all tomorrow

OK, here's the latest on the show,

First, my bad, they will NOT have pre-owned, that is their show in July, obviously I missed it; really sorry for the confusion. BUT, they WILL have a huge selection, special financing, and a hard to get model or two. Specifically, I was told they will have a black-faced Milgauss to sell that day. I'm not up on Milgauss, honestly didn't know they were that hard to get, but if anyone is in the area and interested in that watch, here is the contact:

Raj Dhillon
Ben Bridge, 858-453-9996

Raj was not the one who sold me my Daytona, she's moved on, but he's a real good guy, VERY knowledgable and I know would treat you right. I told him about TRF, so be sure to mention it when you talk to him. Not sure what it will get you, probably a free cup of coffee, (they're handing out free cups of coffee), but say it anyway. Use my name, Paul, and mention the guy who brought Kim all the candy when she got him the SS Daytona, (he wears one too).

Also, the financing will be "relaxed." I don't know what the heck that means but one deal they will have going is 30% down on any Rolex, 1- year same as cash. I'm tempted to take advantage of that on a GMT IIC.......

Anyway, their selection is usually about 100 watches, they will have between 250 and 300 that day so if you had a special model in mind chances are they'll have it. If anyone needs any more information please feel free to contact me and I hope anyone that attends enjoys the show.

I'll stop in a couple times so hope to meet some of you, I'll be the short-fat-ugly guy drooling over all the Rollies....

One last thing, another finance offering. BB will offer 24 months same as cash on Gold and Platinum Rollies, if anyone attends the show I hope they find what they are looking for and enjoy it!

(Thanks Vanessa).
