Sizing of the 44mm - Opinions Please!

Hope to be purchasing a 44mm ROO within the next 18 months, and already trying to narrow it down to which model.

Tried a few on a few months ago and took a "fit picture" to see how it looks. Please let me know your opinion on whether it is too big/small etc.

I'd say this is how it looks on most people who own it.

Good eye! 26400SO, although swaying towards the ti release from SIHH 2017

that is what i was going to suggest. I did have the chance to try on both at the same time and the Ti just works better in all aspects IMO.

That is apart from pricing as £2500 more for the SS vs Ti is just insane. If anything the Ti should be the one priced higher. So considering price as well, it's no contest, the Ti wins on both counts.

the fact OP had to bring his own water in the pic gave the department store jewelry counter setup away though.

Very true, AP pulled out all the stops and gave me a bottled Diet Coke in a branded glass

And here's another vote for the Ti

strangely enough they have the older versions more so than any other AD. Maybe because of the weird setup in there they don't sell as many AP's as other AD's?

They still have the old dial RG 44 for sure and the SS 44 (although that one may be gone now as it was not there that i saw a few weeks ago). That is why i think the SS is discontinued. Despite the fact that the pricing makes no sense with the introduction of the Ti, other AD's in London at least don't seem to be replacing the ones they have sold with other SS 44's.

Yeah I was in there last Thursday and it wasn't there then (well not on display)

I know the reports are mixed on here but like you I can't see it not being discontinued the pricing structure just doesn't work.

Anyway I prefer the Ti over the SS

Hahaha! I had just pull an all-nighter finishing my dissertation (on watches), so I was a bit dehydrated. But yes, hard to believe that the Ti retails for less. I am hoping that some of them will float onto the pre-owned market, so I can get one for a good price...

Great shot! Would you mind me asking if they budged at all regarding pricing? I know it is a new release and with Brexit and all it is cheap comparatively, but always worth a try!

I've been to the Wonder Room many times but I also thought it looked more like Wempe, as usually it's so dark in Selfridges I didn't think I'd be able to see a pic that clearly. I think in recent years all the complaints have led to better lighting, I haven't been there this year.

The 44 looks fine on the OP, and as the TI is lower priced than the SS then that has to be a go. PP with the new 5522a and the Rolex D500 show that the brands are offering increasingly good value on new and desirable pieces.

If you're 1.5 years away from buying, you'll see what SIHH 2018 & 2019 (as it's in Jan) brings and your mind might change...

If it wasn't limited to 600 i would say its a good sign. If i could get ahold of one i might be interested as 42mm is good for me and rare in a PP. Not sure about the brown strap though as i don't know what i would be able to wear it with as i have zero brown in my wardrobe but i would consider adding brown to the color palette for that. The strap color is the only reason i never seriously considered the 5524G but I'm not sure any other color option would look good either. That and the side pushers. But the 5522a is a screaming deal IMO.

That does worry me... I want to stick with one long enough so that it pops up on DAVIDSW pre-owned list

Still a bit young for a PP I feel... Already pushing the limit if I get this AP ROO
