Turtle Waffles

Uncle Seiko v2 waffle strap for my SRP777 just arrived and I love it! I love vintage watches but need a solid and reliable tool watch day to day. This strap gives a subtle vintage look and feel to the new Turtles. Recommended!

Really nice strap mate, great combo, looks like they were made for each other.

Once I put my 051 on an Uncle Seiko waffle the bracelet has been collecting dust, I love it!

So, I’ve never really been a fan of the OEM rubber strap. I find that the accordion folds near the case give it a G-Shock sort of look. However I do like how supple they feel and I prefer the solid buckle they use. I measured and they’re the same width as the Uncle Seiko one, which is good quality but unremarkable. So I switched them up. I really like the result.

I bought this Seiko rubber strap. The indentations are less severe than the typical Seiko diver rubber strap.

That is a flat vent strap. But it looks like your tail side is on backwards in this pic.

Thanks, but it looks right in person because the Seiko tsunami logo is underneath. Maybe I’m dyslexic, but I think it is ok. Thank you for your well informed input.

The Logo should be showing when on your wrist.

He's right though. I've fitted rubber straps like that by mistake once or twice too, before noticing the textured side was facing up instead of the smooth side.

Nice. It doesn't look like much, but I appreciate the extra couple of millimetres support on the wrist that the OEM and similar styles like yours give heavier dive watches. It makes them feel less top heavy.

Isn't their strap almost the same material as the stock one? A better one imo would be the BC 284.

The OEM strap is silicone & very comfy , the watchgecko strap is rubber & not as supple , I will look at the BC284 , I haven't checked these out before .

I agree Adam, the watch can look top heavy & think the extra MM does make the difference . I am looking at other watch strap options & would like a nice leather strap but want it to have a similar fit .

Uncle Seiko straps are fantastic. I much prefer them over the Seiko rubber straps, which are stiff and not as nice to the touch. Uncle Seiko's customer service is great too.

Put my Pepsi Padi Turtle on a blue Uncle Seiko waffle strap. Much lighter than the metal bracelet and not top heavy as I feared.

Really like the watchgecko strap & very comfortable , but thought the strap a little long & not keen on the overlap . So decided to cut the strap by about an inch , & the strap feels much better now & now seems to fit my wrist better .
