Usually for the best deals on my previous Seiko/GS’s Dan is the man over at Timeless in TX as a heads up to everyone on here. I have purchased at least 8 watches over the years from him.

Here are some close ups of the dial; I threw in a few of the new Seiko presage too :)

In addition to what bearxj86 has shared, the hour marker is also different. The case is the legendary 44GS block type, and is a mm smaller than the traditional GS case found in the snowflake. Further, this LE is made of steel compared to the high intensity titanium of the other model. The dial is awesome with the “sparkling painting” or the kirazuri.

Lastly, only 588 pieces were made for this first US exclusive LE. Can’t go wrong with that, even if it may seem to be redundant.

Trying this piece out and comparing with the iconic snowflake:

I was incredibly lucky to pre-order one and ended up with an opportunity to buy another one since one of the buyers dropped out - thinking my brother or friends might want one. See photos.

Awesome! Brought the house down with your GS passion.

Between this and the Hi Beat LE SBGH267, I think the US exclusive spring Drive is more legible to read IMO.

I wouldn’t expect one and be grateful for 10%...I don’t have any knowledge on this, but I know at my AD they had a bunch of pre orders and a waitlists.

The second hand for the spring drive runs completely smooth.
So, I do not understand the need for a Hi-beat watch in the GS line up. The spring drive accomplishes what the hi beat was designed for, only better.
And it is a Seiko exclusive.
So, to me, the spring drive is the epitome of what GS is.

I hope so too.

With all their successes and hits in 2018, this is bound to happen. Agree they need to have na well oiled marketing machinery deployed by the likes of PP and Rolex.

Of the 4Ps in marketing, they’ve got a great product and distribution/place is expanding at the right momentum, price is reasonable and deemed bang for the buck. So it’s a matter of greater communication to reach out to intended audience.

How about a nickname... GS White Walker, ala GoT?

jk

On a more serious note, that is one of the most beautiful dials I've seen!

I am not sure that I am a light blue fan ( same ambivalence about the light blue Rolex Day Date). But the detail on the watch face is really great!
