Lost Entire Bezel Assembly - early '80s 5513
So do I wait to find a used '80's bezel and age appropriate insert (Issue is I have no idea what is a decent deal, real or fake...)? Or is a NOS assembly in blister pack not a bad move since this watch is a not so rare early '80's glossy (one is currently for sale here for $1100). Picked this watch up very reasonably in the early '90's and really prefer to not put 1000's into it - also dont want to kill the value of being all original either.
Also considering sending to L.A.W.W. - having them perform service (it does need it) and have them source age appropriate used parts, but then again, this will be $2k to $3k, I assume based upon initial conversation with them... What would some of you do in this situation? All suggestions are welcomed. |
