Amazing condition 6105 8110 on eBay

I know there are several 6105 8110s around and many in good condition. But I've been enjoying watching this unsuspecting eBay flipper in the UK realize that he stumbled upon a gem at an estate auction. He clearly had no idea of its value and it sounds like he paid basically nothing for it (see his updates in the description).

It's in dynamite condition. Zero lume rot. Everything looks original. I'd bid on it myself (I've always wanted one), but I think it's going to go for more than I'm willing to pay. Already at GBP900 with six days left on the auction!

Prices are stupid on these now. I agree this one looks like it is in good shape. But they are not easy to full service that is for sure.

The prices have gone crazy with this model and several others. I have never been in the vintage game for ownership beyond a few models. With so much to choose from on the modern models I am wearing a couple of mine until they are vintage.

I need to dig out my 6105 collection. I have a small fortune collecting dust apparently.

6105 is Ms photogenic as I always enjoy watching them but years after I really got mine on hand...I think I wish it could be larger like what I've seen over the years on screen.

I have one of these coming in from Japan next week. With the SLA033 round the corner I figured it was now or never

Bigger than what it is already? What size wrist do you have? Mine is certainly the largest watch I own. I love it but wouldn’t want to go any larger

Are we looking at the same watch? Go look at most 6105s for sale and maybe you'll agree with OP. A simple crystal replacement will have that one looking almost new.

It was a lovely example, new crystal and you’d have one of the better condition 6105’s out there for sale.

I think it went for a good deal really. Consider the new version coming out which has none of the exact details as this and will be 4 times this price.

Yes you could get one a few years ago for half that but they’re still relatively affordable compared to other brands.

A few years ago these were only going for around 350-450.

Now they are not what I personally would call affordable. But I guess I am cheap.

Looks like Uncle Seiko recently sold a nice-looking one, albeit probably in need of service, for $1,950.
