Hello everyone,
I'm a long time member whose never posted but bought a couple of watches from folks on this forum. I need some advice on which watch to get and am confused between the options below. Both are pre-owned of course! 1. Rolex GMT Master II (half gold) - 116613LN - black dial. Getting one for about US$11k in very good condition. 2. Rolex President day date - 18238 - white roman dial. Getting one for about US$11.5K. I already have a steel Rolex datejust so wondering if the president will just feel the same? Also, which of these do you reckon will hold better resale in the long run? Any thoughts on the half gold black dial submariner? I see those going cheaper than the GMT Master II for some reason... Finally, are these competitive prices for such pre-owned watches or on the higher side? Any thoughts would be very welcome! |

Fortunate to have a DD and a 116713
The TT Subdate would be my first choice.

Welcome to the forums! I would say get the one that really makes you smile. Both are great watches and are so different in look, feel, and design.

I’m partial to gold so I’d vote for the president! But for everyday wear, the GMT may be a better choice, also I think the GMT may hold value better over time
