Country Codes
Does the country code affect the value of a Rolex in a different country?
If I were to trade a Caribbean purchased Rolex in the UK would I potentially get less than the equivilent '160' watch? |

I Called Rolex Canada about this once and asked if purchasing a watch from an AD in a different country other than Canada would affect the 2-year warrantee with Rolex Canada.
She told me that as long as the AD is a registered Rolex AD, the 2-year warrantee and paper's are universal. So, as long as the watch was purchased brand new from an AD anywhere in the world, you should be good to send it in for work to any RSC without restrictions. However, the 2 year warrantee is good only for the original purchasor of the watch. So, if you buy the watch second-hand and it's still within the 2-year service period, you're out of luck I'm afraid. |

Country of Origin of a Rolex usually bears no effect on sale or trade price. You should be good to go. But keep in mind that some dealers of used rolex in the UK might want proof of VAT payment.

INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY
It means you can buy from uncle Joe in Atlanta and have it serviced in Istanbul Turkey or anywhere that says... ROLEX SERVICE CENTER within the two years from the date of purchase Country of origin is important to some people as it makes a difference if a Greek sold it or an Albanian I say buy where you get a good deal...I do.. |
