His & Hers Incomings!
This weekend my wife and I both bought our ultimate Rolex's and are absolutely delighted!!
I previously had a Bluesey for 4 years which was my first Rolex and I thought the 116618lb was my ultimate. Last year I traded in my Bluesey for a 116618lb and found afterwards that it wasn't for me and sold it back to my AD who had another customer lined up for it. I just didn't feel that comfortable wearing it but the real issue was that my home insurance wouldn't cover it and separate watch insurance was needed at several $100s extra per year. I bought a Omega Seamaster 300m instead which looked fantastic in photos but I didn't really love it.. My wife had an OP 34mm but confessed that her ultimate would be slightly bigger with TT jubilee and Mother of Pearl. 6 months on from selling the 116618lb this weekend we were out shopping and there was an AD that had a 36mm DJ with TT jubilee, MOP & diamonds - that was it my wife's ultimate watch right there available at retail!! In the same shopping centre we found a grey dealer with a 2018 deepsea JC that was unworn and although above retail (but reasonably priced based on others I have seen) they would take both my Omega & my wife's OP 34mm in part ex so a deal was done! It was almost like it was meant to be!! Last edited by Tools; 7 January 2020 at 04:17 AM.. |

Looks great!
A few days ago I tried on a 2018 JCDS for the first time. Loved the look of it on my wrist, the depth of the case would take some getting used to though. |

The most beautiful thing in this story "besides the beauty of the pieces of course" is that you guys got your watches the same day same place. Amazing memory for both. Wear it in good health and much love.

Thanks everyone!
My Deepsea is a lot more comfortable that i expected. At first the size and weight is a bit of a shock but you soon get used to it and I don’t think I could go back to anything smaller now lol I also never thought I would buy a grey watch above retail but actually after trading in the Omega & OP I paid significantly less than retail and even if I could have found an AD with a JC in stock which I couldn’t they might not have accepted part ex and it would have cost me more. My Deepsea bracelet is still squeeking a bit just like my Bluesey did when it was new and I found a small bit of sticker that hadn’t been removed from the back so it feels just like if I had bought a new one. My wife is delighted as well with hers and also thanks everyone for their kind comments :) |
