15500 bracelet question
Hello folks
I hope you all are safe and healthy I just got news, my grey dial 15500 is on its way. I have a 7.7” wrist, Will I need extra links? How do I go about getting them? How much do they usually cost? Does anyone know the diameter of the watch with full links ? I’ve never had it on my wrist so I would appreciate any input and as always wrist shots are very welcome! Thank you!!

don’t know if you’ll need extra links, or what wrist size all links fit to.
but i paid around $280 for a 1.5 link for my 15450 through clearwater, so i’d assume extra links are pretty close to that price |

Thank you for the tip.
I wonder if anyone measured the circumference with full links or has a similar wrist size to let me know if I need an extra link. For my Rolex watches, I wear them with full links fine, except the divers, I remove a couple of links. But that’s my very first AP

My wrist is an inch smaller at 6.7" and I had to remove three links from my 15500. Measuring them three links is about 6/8ths of an inch, so I suspect you may need either one extra link, or remove a link and put in an extra long 1.5 link, so you'd then effectively add a half link.
Can't be sure, the only real way is to try, as it will also depend upon how you wear your watches - loose, or like me, snug. |

My wrist is 7,5” (19cm) and I removed 2 links to have it very very little loose (almost tight) like this
![]() Maybe you need just to remove 1 link and it will be fine for your without adding the extra 1,5 link |

The length of the bracelet should long enough to fit your wrist size.
But AP doesn't have micro adjustments, so some people might not fit perfectly, in that case they might need 1.5 link for adjustment. |

I have an 8” wrist and added one link... guessing you’ll be fine as is. Congrats!

If you need an additional link or 2 because you have a large wrist, it seems like they would supply the additional links. I mean paying that much for a watch - they should make sure it fits.

Whilst I absolutely love the design and engineering in the RO clasp, it’s frustrating that there's no micro adjustment facility. With both my 15500 and 26331IP the bracelets are slightly looser than I'd ideally like, so that the watch moves around a bit, which is annoying, and I could ideally do with taking out half a link, or a bit less.
I know a possible answer is to remove two links and put in a 1.5 link, but I just think those are so ugly and to my eye (I'm in design, so appreciate detail) really ruin the symmetry of the watch. The fit issue is the main reason I didn't 'upgrade' my 26331OR onto full bracelet, because with the weight and no way to micro adjust the bracelet I think I'd likely find it unwearable. |
