To add to the suggestion above about the PO GMT which is a fantastic watch, you can actually use any of the two dial Speedmasters as GMT watches if you want. These are the ones with hours and minutes on the right dial.

Essentially you just start up the chrono at 12 noon or 12 midnight home time and leave it running. When you change the time on your watch to your new time zone, the right subdial will continue showing your home time - and it does so in a standard clock format which is easier to read than a 24 hour hand in my opinion.

Saw that on a review of my watch and up to that time had never thought of that. Two watches in one.

Not my watch but an example:

Thanks for the helpful replies. I will try to get back with each of them here.

1. Yes, they are a brand that has recently come into my radar with their Ocean 1 39 line, the 39 being the size 39mm, for a more "vintage" sizing. Most of their other offerings are 42mm and 44mm. I'm already pushing it with my 40mm SubC on my tiny wrists (I am disable and very skinny). So the size was a huge draw for me.

2. About the Omega GMT, I like the style of those very much, however, if I'm not mistaken they are 42mm size. I had a 42mm Seiko and it just looked weird on me, even though the lug to lug was fairly short, it sat tall and too wide on my tiny wrist (as mentioned above). I do appreciate the recommendation, and, if you know of a 40mm or less, I would be interested!

3. The Speedy and using the chrono, this is VERY interesting to me! I have a cheap chrono that I might have to test it out with. The Speedy Reduced is one of my ideal second watches. I don't think an Omega would get the comments I got on my Sub that made me uncomfortable and I've had my eye on that Speedy but couldn't justify it... Now maybe I can LOL. Thanks so much for that tip! My ideal 3 watch collection is my SubC, Speedy, and a dress watch.

Remember though, this only works for chronos that have the hours and minutes on the same subdial. Won't work on a standard Speedy or Daytona three subdial layout.

LOL

I would have asked the same question. Why is it so hard to fix a damn date complication. LMFAO.

Come on. Its a god damn date.

I'm sure many would think otherwise but If you're so curious why don't you ask them yourself then?

https://www.rolex.com/watch-care-and...ns-greece.html

I'm not sure what your problem is.
You had it, you sold it and in replacement got a similarly themed watch that you really like (or do you?)
You should have moved on, enjoying your Ball.
But instead you seem obsessively stuck bashing the one you've got rid of. Go figure...

Really a bunch? What is a bunch more than 3? Not being rude just trying to understand. I bought mine in December 2019 so far so good. But man I had hoped that this was resolved... at least that is what the Tudor rep. that delivered the GMT to my AD that very day told me. Well. I have a 5 year warranty so if it happens hope to get a nice Tudor service pouch for my troubles... lol.

They don't normally give you one for warranty job done but you can still ask politely and let them say no...They probably won't.
But let's hope you won't have to use that warranty to begin with

Well I'm a member of 3 watch groups. There is a collective of over 120 members across the 3. There would easily be over 30+ that have this problem. The GMT is a popular watch at its price point but lets not get rose colored glasses on like alot on here do with Rolex and any issues that are brought up with Rolex are usually met with criticism.

If Tudor/Rolex cant get a date complication right - well thats ultimate fail.

personally, i would part with the watch with going through the fuss of fixing it every time the issue takes place.....knowing that bb gmt have the date issue unless you love the watch, that is......

It is very concerning that Rolex has been around for 115 years and can't even get a date wheel working right - even after multiple attempts at fixing it. My advice...once you get it fixed - get rid of it. it's a lemon.
I assume you told the buyer during the transaction.

Why on earth are people still buying these.

Incredible that Tudor can't get the date change right on a 3k watch

Agreed!

Tudor GMT was supposed to be my next "Rolex" watch. It came out right at a time when I wanted to buy a daily GMT. Not feeling Omega and Rolex GMT Batman/Pepsi were impossible to get. But then, early Tudor buyers started to report date issues with Tudor's GMT all over the Net. I thought, Nice try Rolex, you ain't getting my money!

Bought a home theater equipment instead and am very happy with my decision.

Dropped off for repair back in June 24th. Got a call today from the AD saying the new movement has to be ordered from Switzerland. 15-18 WEEKS is the estimate! What the heck - it's already been there over four weeks and now they are adding 15-18 more. Crazy! Glad this isn't my only watch.

Unacceptable. I dropped mine off two days before you, last time of checking (a fortnight ago) I was told I'd have an update by the 27th (i.e. today) and I should have it back by the end of the month...no update, and not hopeful.

If I am advised that it's going to be 15-18 further weeks I'd be inclined to pursue a legal claim against my AD under the consumer credit act. Not sure what legal recourse you have, but that's completely unacceptable IMO.

Exactly the same story here: 3-4 more months wait time indicated after nearly a month with the SC. Public acknowledgment of the mass problem and apologies from Tudor are long overdue!

5+ months is getting ridiculous, even with the COVID situation. If they offered a choice between refund now or repair later I wouldn't be upset at the wait. A letter of apology and explanation to all Tudor owners with this issue would go a long way as well. Just figured I'd pass the latest update along to everyone.

5+ months is crazy. I can build an entire house in 8 months. hahahaha

This should not be longer than 4-6 weeks maximum.

From what people have said on this board Tudor replaces these movements instead of fixing them, it is suspected that the movements that are replaced, are rebuilt and put into other watches, this last bit is just a guess of course.

The news that there is such a long wait right now could mean they have finally figured out a fix that actually works, but are short of parts, and or movements. I hope for owners sakes that this is the case.

I have a BB GMT purchased in 9/19 and have not had a date issue. I am beginning to believe that there is no financially viable fix for the watch. It's been 2 years after all! If there were Tudor would have acknowledged the issue and reassured owners that their watch would be repaired. This is what Toyota recently did with our RAV 4. We will probably see a new GMT within the next year or so with a new movement that won't fit in older watches, that way they won't lose untold millions refitting older GMTs. There will be a long wait list for the new GMT! That is the only thing that makes sense to me, taking a hit from GMT owners being angry will be peanuts compared to new movements for all. Nothing else makes sense of their total lack of official acknowledgement of the issue. Any recourse will have to be forced in court. Just what I'm starting to think, my opinion only, no facts.

The Tudor date window bug finally bit me

Could I have set the record for the quickest fix for a GMT with date issue. I dropped my watch off at the AD 19 days ago and it’s back from the service department after having a new movement fitted. I’ll be collecting it on Saturday....

RSC Athens holds the world record AFAIK.
They took 7 days the 1st time and 9 days the 2nd (pre-COVID-19).
Hope there won't be a third one although it almost happened just two days after I last picked it up...

What's the pain in the ass with a properly working watch? We both have 2018 BB GMTs that are working flawlessly. Wear & enjoy, no need to fret if you don't have a problem.

Date got stuck between 14th and 15th. Called the RSC and spoke with the technician who had worked on my watch. Followed his advice and cycled back and forth, then back again one date in an attempt to replicate. Never happened again, it's been 6 months now.

That is not a fix. Just a temporary workaround.

It will happen again. Once it happens it will always come back.

Possibly.
I don't know who was more surprised, the RSC technician or me to see this happen
Fyi It's a new movement fitted and for the record, indeed, this "fix" didn't work the other two times, just as you're saying so here's a difference this time...
But If it fails, they'll fix it again, we all know each other on a first name basis already
