Does every RSC operate differently. I see some guys say “use this RSC, not this one” etc etc.

Do you do the job from A to Z?

Yes there's quite a bit of small differences throughout RSCs over the world.

I'm in a smaller one and am indeed responsible for the whole watch. Not just the movement or the case.

If this changes then I will go work somewhere else, I want to work on the whole watch, not just one part of it.

Yes this is certainly more enjoyable than doing a service on a DJ with 3135..

The lapping machine is basically a disk that turns, ours is made so you can attach abrasive sandpaper sheets to it. In some machines the abrasive product is another disk, made of tin. Ours cannot attach such a disk.

When I work on the lapping machine you'll still need to buff it afterwards on the polishing machine, because even with a very fine grit it is not a high shine surface. With a tin disk it not only takes material away quickly (for cutting chamfers, bezels, etc) but it is highly polished at the same time, so you don't have to buff it afterwards and thus keep a very crisp line.
