Rolex 1675 insert

Hi guys

Need a check on this insert. There are mutual oponions on if the insert have been exposed to bleach or not. The insert is apppr. 40-45 years old. Of my knowledge it should not have been bleached.

What do you guys think?

Best regards

You would have liked it to be more bright red on the back?

It looks fine to me, the Bach is a bit light, but this is part of the deal for the era.
I would buy it.
The front side it is very nice actually.

The insert appears to have a natural fade and looks original to me. I have seen many 40 and 50-year-old original inserts where the backs have the splotchy faded areas.

Below are a few examples. (The two photos with the baby blue Rolex oiler- one with the super fat font front side and the other photo with the backside are the same insert.)

Springer, what is the Rolex oiler? Is that for applying oil to the internal mechanisms?

Yes, that would work - you could have oil in it or whatever other substance the watch maker decided to store in it.

Yes it should not have been bleached! It's good I like it too. What MK GMT are you planning on putting this on?
