How does the blue dial look. It seems a little stark and has color tone changes similar to the Rolex Hombre dials. Not bad just different.

Honestly one of the prettiest dials I've ever seen. Almost looks like sapphires on it

I tried on the non chrono version, and man, that blue! Especially in person.
I agree with Jason, the date location would be a deal breaker for me.

Absolutely love VC. And this watch is no exception.

I am honestly not a fan of the blue. But I don’t like blue dials in most cases. In other colors, I love it.

Color is obviously subjective. The watch, the straps, the whole package is incredible.

Over-designed, Maltese cross everywhere. Simplicity would do it good.

I’ve tried that exact model with the black dial and love it. The contrast with the sub dials was amazing.

They make great watches for sure

Great looking dial. I have been close a couple of times on buying one but just can not pull the trigger.

The 1921 has my heart. If they ever make one in steel or even white gold with a black dial. I’d have a hard time resisting.

What I wonder is why with all the VC traffic here we don’t open a VC subforum. So many people coming along to discover and love the Overseas, which is increasingly becoming an ambassador of fine watchmaking in a world where the entries into Patek (Nautilus) and AP (RO) have essentially become unobtainable to someone who’s beginning to take an interest in the matter

A 1921 in steel, now that would really be blasphemy...

Agreed was thinking the same thing recently.

Great watch OP love that blue! I have to get to an AD and try on that along with the dual time and three hander and decide which is the one for me. From pictures I'm leaning Dual Time but you never know which will sing to you til you try it on.

I don’t think so. They are making the chrono with teardrop lugs in steel so I don’t see why not the 1921. Surely a watch designed with motoring in mind can be offered in steel.

I haven't seen the chrono in person but if it's the same blue dial as on my overseas tourbillon than it's literally the nicest blue dial done by any brand.

I have some pricey blue dials and nothing compares...it's like wet blue ink...really impressive

I picked this over any other sport chronographs out there. Basically 3 watch in 1.

Personally I think the Maltese Cross on the bezel as well as on the bracelet are really nice and unique I’d consider an overseas just for that styling. Having the most beautiful blue dial, in the business, a plus, and add the history, the finishing, In house movements, the complications available, the 150 ft water resistance easy switch bracelet system with 3 straps etc. For somebody like me who thinks the Nautilus is a dog (just my opinion) some variant of the VC Overseas, in my case, the Dual-Time is a great ubër sport watch.

I didn’t order the Chrono for two reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of the watch, one, my cousin has a gen 2 Chrono and I don’t want to seem to be copying him, and two I already have an ubër Sport watch chronograph with a blue dial.

Hopefully I get mine in December.

Another no here. Again a date window issue.

Honestly, my pick of the Overseas is the 37mm Self-Winding with the blue dial. After that the new Perpetual (which I realize is an entirely different proposition as it’s 3.5x the price of the Chrono).

Very versatile watch, the blue dial has a lot of personality and shifts quite a bit depending on lighting conditons.
