Is the White dial Seamaster too flashy?

I've been wanting a white dial watch for a while and the Seamaster looks nice online. In real life is it too flashy? Does it look out of place if wearing jeans?

It is eye catching so you will get noticed but is not flashy :)
The white dial will capture attention but not in a bad way

I don’t think it’s too flashy. I’ve only had one one person notice mine and he’s a watch guy buddy of mine. No one else even notices.....
And a picture because this thread needs a picture....

I have not seen this one in person. I have a speedmaster with a white dial but it does not pop as much as the Seamaster. I honestly think it’s a very nice watch and you can’t go wrong with Omega in general.

I think we got so used to the dark dials that this white looks bright and flashy. But in reality it’s not.

On the rubber strap it is much more subdued. The bracelet is big and flashy so that catches some attention.

It’s perfect for jeans. Being ceramic (both bezel and dial), it does reflect light/shiny and the contrast between bezel and dial makes it pop, but I would not call it flashy (like my BLNR jubilee and DJ41 with fluted bezel).

Here is a video of mine in outdoor, natural light - I hope it helps...

As others have noted, it's pretty low-key under indoor lighting. It pops a bit more in direct sunlight, in a good way.

I've never seen one in person but I have a morbid fascination with the 39.5mm white ceramic dial Planet Ocean with the white ceramic bezel. Now THAT might be too flashy (still kind of want it ):

What kind of discount were you able to get on this at the AD? Visiting mine next week and plan to take a look at one. Thanks.

Flashy? Absolutely not. Sporty? Very much. Eye catcher? Yes. That white dial pops out. My humble opinion.

I don't think so, it's one of the most interesting and bang for buck dive watches on the market today.

Completely agree. I have the black dial but I would totally rock the white. I’m personally not crazy about the rubber strap though. The bracelet it much better. White is definitely not flashy. It looks great with jeans.

I don't think it's flashy at all, and in certain lighting the dial almost looks silver. It's definitely very photogenic, though! I'd say this takes the best pictures of any watch I've ever had!

Wow, that's cheaper than some of the greys. DavidSW has one for $4,575, and another for $4,175 now which is a ridiculous price for a secondhand SMP.

If they will give me 25% I may just have to bring one home.

Not too flashy but noticeable if you’re into watches. I almost bought it but went for blue in the end. And as been said they all look better on the rubber, that bracelet is fugly.

Not at all. What would make you think it’s flashy? Have you ever seen a Rolex? Lol. What are you comparing it against to be flashy?

I’m asking compared to a five digit Rolex Submariner and GMT Pepsi.

Thanks!!! I really love it so far! I got 15% off and asked for a NATO to be tossed in. They didn’t have a NATO, so they marked it off another $200. Basically came in at 19% off.

Under $4K fantastic!

How you liking it so far? Try on any other colors or were you locked on white from the start? Did you try the bracelet?

I was mostly interested in white, but I saw the silver, black, and blue in window displays And they looked amazing in the sun. I really like the black a lot and the blue is pretty amazing too. I never thought I’d be so happy with a non-Rolex, but now I’m an Omega fan!
