Congratulations!!! Some might argue about it looking classic however. Nevertheless it's a great watch and deserves good wrist time!!!

Thank you everyone for all these replies!

My first "real" watch purchase as an adult was the Sinn EZM-1 (one I feel is now just too precious to wear very often, although they are going on ebay for less than a sub! Funny how value works in the mind!!)

I haven't had quite the same feeling as I did putting that one on until receiving the SubC a few days ago. Solid. Comfortable. Simple, and a low profile, and just ... useful! (Bezel has gotten a lot of action timing how long the spaghetti has been boiling).

Resisted getting this one forever because I a) vastly prefer green lume and b) didn't want the "new" Sub, but caved asked the AD for one a few months ago and here it is just in time to not be new anymore.

The internet tells me this is a dated design, fat ugly looking thing no one ever liked what a mistake to make.

I have the same one, I'm so disgusted with it I may just take a hammer to it then buy the new one of course.

Seriously you know this is a stone cold classic be happy with your fat ugly watch.

The only reason you even notice or think about the lugs is the forum. Enjoy it!

My first AD purchase was the 114060. It always felt like it was missing something. I'd never sell my 116610 for it. You may miss the look more than you think. Just my experience... ymmv.

I've been wearing my 114060 in rotation since new, three years ago. Now that it's been discontinued I've been wearing it like I'm back to the honeymoon phase and it doesn't want to come off. Love the substantial yet not bulky feel of it. Again OP Congrats.. Enjoy that Beauty!!
