Z4 Video
Well, using my crappy point and shoot digital camera (which has a very limited video capability) I did a few runs in the Z4 around an "S" bend on the way to my outdoor archery range over the last few weeks. Shot the curves 3 different times with three different views. With the camera out in the open the audio on those 3 clips left something to be desired (nothing but wind noise) so today since it's raining out I shot another clip with the top up on the way to get groceries just to get some clean audio from inside the car.
I edited the views together, split the audio from the last clip and laid it over the file with my best attempt at matching the shift from 3rd to 4th with the video, and then laid some music over top. Not the best quality, but my first attempt at trying my hand at this to see how it's done. Now all I need is a better video camera, suction camera mount, proper audio capture, etc., etc,..... The file is about 4 mb so it should not take long to download. http://media.putfile.com/Z4-Movie-23 Doing about 150 km/hr at the end of the curves BTW.....car handles like a dream. Thrilling indeed, Al. But... it sure looked like a crash was the way things were heading at the end.
Tell me you remained on the road...

Not too shabby for a first effort, Al. I liked the audio overlay, too.

The Z4 is one hot car. I have loved it since the day it came out even with the constant beating it gets from my friends. I recently had the privelage of driving one of our clients M Coupe and I must say the fun factor is magnified. Again the coupe is something all my friends seem to hate the looks of but I love, sports cars that dare to be different are ok in my books (other BMW designs take some time to win me over).
Enjoy the Z4 to the fulliest, these cars were not meant to be babied, the more you beat on them the more they love you. We have owned a few BMWs over the last couple of decades and everyone of them have been good to us even though I have pushed them every change I got. Even the service guys at BMW say that our cars run smoother and faster than some of the newer cars they service because I like to burn the carbon out of the motors |

I think the next BMW on my list will be an M-Roadster (Z4M). I like the looks of the coupe, but the visibility from inside is not great and due to my arthritis my neck mobility makes this even worse. I also like having the top down. And BTW this is my 5th BMW so I know they can hold up to hard driving - that's what they are for! |

Very nice Al
Believe me, you'd put some of the people who actually work in TV to shame. Keep it up, can't wait to see more! Ps. If you feel like shipping the car down under I'll do a great video for you...maybe even for free

Come on Al,
That 6 series cab would look good in your driveway. Make that an M6, if you'd prefer
