great watch ! and thanks for sharing your story. sorry for your loss, but glad you were able to cherish your time together. i'm at a different stage in my life, but hoping watches is something i can share with my son in the future. surprisingly, his younger sister at all but 13yrs old, is practically becoming a wis.

Kinda bittersweet to get to the end of the watch challenge. I’ve learned a lot about myself, and while it was nice knowing which watch I was wearing that day without holding a few up to an outfit, I like variety. Definitely blessed and grateful to have the collection I do and am looking forward to wearing the new ones I picked up this month.

The first Bond movie I remember watching with my Dad was Thunderball, and I love all of the Connery Bonds...but I really like what DC did with the character. I think as a whole, I honestly prefer the new ones the best.

I like her confidence - sounds like something my kids would say! One of my favorite things about my kids is their strength - they are not pushovers/snowflakes - but that does pose a challenge when it's directed at me!

WITHOUT curved spring bars.
In fact, I'm using the OEM spring bars.

That way as long as he wore it, it would never stop, and it'd give him something to work towards...a symbol of movement and life. I was blessed to be able to get one in my hometown of Milwaukee, and the look on his face when he opened the box will forever be burned into my memory. I'm very grateful that moment was during a trip to Boppa's house with my son, who will get the watch when he gets married.

Long story short, I've had the watch for just about 11 months now, but it's extremely hard for me to wear. My original plan was for him (my Dad) to wear it, I dunno, for a few decades, then pass it on to me briefly, then my son. With the exception of a trip I to Maui I bought for his retirement, I just haven't been able to wear it. Its initial purpose wasn't for me but as an heirloom passed down from generation to generation.

So, imagine my surprise when I happened into my local Omega AD and saw the new NTTD Bond watch, just sitting in the case...on my birthday. I've totally "Bonded" with this watch the past month and feel like it may be the best GADA ever. My original plan, in honor of my Dad's birthday this month, was to showcase its versatility, wear it everyday, and take you all along on the journey. I still plan on doing that, but there may be some mid-day switches along the way as I've been blessed to pick up a few other pieces I've taken a liking to as well (and have at least one more on the way).

So, without further ado, let's begin Double "0" October, a month to be filled with gratuitous NTTD watch porn.

Been noticing your posts and you are the omega strap master no doubt!
I used to have fun with straps in my panerai days. I bought a navy blue suede for my Lange which really made it more casual.
Anyway I was hoping for some advice..
I recently bought the grey side of the moon and love the watch- curious what strap you might put on that?
And more importantly, I got my dad the green 300 for Christmas. (Im very sorry to hear you lost your dad, that will be very hard for me someday, I hope you’re doing ok) Its on bracelet and I don’t really like the bracelet. Was thinking of getting the rubber but I don’t know.. what do you think would be a fun strap for that?
