37 years old NOS watch
Hello fellow members
I just found this Datejust 16030 from 1983 with full box and papers and tags The watch is in NOS condition and I don’t think there are plenty of these left in this condition. if you got it would you ever wear it? Or keep as it is? All comments are appreciated Thanks you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don’t see this as anything like NOS?
I would pass as I have seen others in better condition.

37 years old NOS watch
It is actually a NOS watch but full of finger prints and a scratch or two due to Rolex’s wooden base box

What does the seller ask?
Of course wear it, if you buy it! Or would you put it another 37 years in a box... Cheers Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk |

as long as you trust the seller for authenticity, looks ok, definitely been worn though, maybe even touched up.

It is definitely cool but it isn’t a particularly collectible model. As soon as you wear it, it will just be another old ss Dj unfortunately.

Woah, that’s steep, your 116200 should be worth at least $5500... I’m gonna go on a limb here, but I am not certain the lugs are really untouched. For me I think it’s too much, even though the watch itself looks good. I’ll send some picture of my 16014 from 16014, that I got NOS , too for comparison. NOS? Scratches on clasp and the bracelet is very stretched. Not sure it’s NOS at all

All old jubilee bracelets had some m stretch from the factory especially early ones like this one. The scratches are on the clasp only due to the wood box that Rolex used with out any cloth to protect the watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

37 years old NOS watch
Not nos, but doesn’t matter. Wear it and love it, it looks great. It’s a datejust, one of a whole bunch.
Edit: just saw ask price. Find a better one tomorrow for cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You seem to like it then get it.
It’s certainly been worn a little. |

This watch is not NOS at all and far from mint condition. It has been worn and repolished. The seller is a liar. Get away from this watch. And the deal is not great at all!

This is nowhere near NOS, it's dirty, scuffed up and definitely worn.

Have to agree how anyone could say thats NOS defeats me, it's just like the thousands of others of the same age around today.

There’s ‘new in box’, ‘unworn’, ‘worn a few times’ and this could be any of these. NOS this piece isn’t.

It's a nice full-set in fine condition, with one of the more common dials, and that's how I'd value it.
Don't get emotionally involved in the NOS issue. Nobody else seems to care, so that gives you an idea of how a buyer will react if you try to sell it.

Lmfao he wants you to add $1,000!? This is a $4,500 watch at best. Not NOS as has been said multiple times, I mean cmon even the CB sticker was peeled off. Bracelets of this era didn’t have anywhere near this much stretch new. YOUR 116200 would be more than enough trade, you’d be downgrading. To add cash on top is absolutely insane

Don’t fall into the nos trap. It’s a seller overstating something he has. Clasps don’t come from the factory with those scratches. The sticker should still be appended to the caseback

Your 116200 plus 1K vs this watch is a ripoff.
