Watchmaker damaged my lugs, fixable?
Hi guys! Do you guys think I can brush this out with a burgeon fiberglass pen or are the marks too deep? Thanks for your input :)

i'd leave it for the next service, plus it's not really visible anyway when worn. Am sure many more scratches will happen as you wear her daily.

A few strokes with a glass fiber pen will remove most for sure

You’d be amazed what can be done with lugs by skilled people. That’s not so bad and should be easily be able to be refinished.

The first pic looks pretty bad and not sure that a fiberglass pen will remove that. How exactly did that happen?

A fibre glass probably won’t remove scratches that deep but it will help make it look a little nicer.

With the very high magnification those tiny marks look a lot worse than they are,I would leave well alone and those scratches will be rectified at normal routine service.And seeing when wearing no one could see them not worth the hassle of a DIY removal as this could create a bigger problem

It’s unfortunate that it happened but honestly it’s nothing that can’t be handled at your next service. I always cringe a bit every time I switch between my jubilee and my oyster band. Sometimes I do it without adding any scuffs and sometimes I pick one or two up. I’ve just learned to accept I slip sometimes. I could take extra time and tape them but I stopped doing that years ago.
