SS Daytona vs PM Daytona

What would you choose the 116500 Daytona or the 116508 Green dial ?

Although the green dial is fantastic, I generally am not a fan of YG. I voted for the SS version

I am not a gold guy either so I also picked SS. That said, almost no one is really considering this, the cost difference is huge so unless someone is planning to get both they are not really choosing except maybe to see which one comes first.

I’d take wg above all, but I just can’t pull off yg in anything. Kudos to those who can.

I have a couple PM daytonas(WG and RG) and love them. The panda is the only SS Rolex I’ve ever seen that could pass for a PM. Way out punts it’s coverage. Can’t wait for mine to show up. Will be an epic day

Meaning that the Panda is so regal looking it almost looks like a PM watch to me. It’s a class above other SS models and I do not lump the black dial SS Daytona in with the panda

Speaking for myself would not choose any of them, and in the real world only difference is the metal, dial colour and price, but today many think bigger price is a upgrade.

Stainless is more durable than gold +
Ceramic is more durable than gold=
116500

I do like all the dial variants of the PM models, but stainless is cheaper, more durable, and more versatile

I own both the black and white ss Daytonas (Very special and consider both masterpieces ,but would pick the YG Green dial ...

Don't comment if you haven't seen it .

Mesmerizing.

My top 3 :

1) Platona Baquette dial
2) Daytona YG Green dial
3) WG GMT Meteorite

This, plus the SS models simply look better to me.

What is the definition of durable?
When talking about corrosion resistance, the PM model is better than SS model right
And the gold is not pure gold but 18ct gold which translate to a certain degree of hardness as well

116500LN, white SS of the choices you give. But, overall, I choose 116519, white gold. I've owned it and selling it for the SS white face was a big mistake.

Daily wear piece = 116500C
Occasional wear and part of a collection = 116508

I own both, that green dial is incredible. But I wouldn’t not make it a daily wear piece, imo.

If the PM in the comparison were the WG blue dial or the Platona, I’d have gone PM. I’m not so much into YG, so I voted 116500.
