It's gone!!

I've just sold my Black TT sub and I'm now a one Rolex owner. This year I've spent a bit on cameras and lenses so thought I'd better sell off some items I have not been using, things that have been collecting dust etc. Well the sub was one. Since getting my TT GMT II, it's hardly off my wrist so the sub became superfluous. I owed it to my wife as well as she hasn't bought anything at all and I was feeling a bit guilty. The proceeds of the sale are now with her to do with as she pleases. Maybe she'll buy me something with the money?

If I wanted to sell one of those, I'd end up paying someone to take it off my hands.

Sorry to see it go, Adrian. I know how much you loved that watch and how many pics of the same you would post......even on the other forum.

I guess you should be happy with the stunning TT GMT-IIC which you have......still the BEST model to come out of Basel in the last 3 years.

JJ

I wasn't that bothered JJ, I don't hang on to things for semi sentimental reasons. It was a wad of money sat in a drawer doing nothing, now Brenda has enough in her purse to buy me something nice for my birthday.

Don't tell her though!

Your 300mm F/2.8 is worth a sub already, and the D700 body? that will make it a TT sub.

I considered selling my 16610 a few months after purchasing it as I couldn't take my TT DJ off. Fortuitously, I held onto it and find it on my wrist more often then my DJ (as winter has come to an end and my training is in full effect). The primary feature I use it the rotating bezel which can be used to time down to the minute; unlike the GMT-II.

It's a D3 and the 300mm f2.8 has just had a repair done on it. It's still in England awaiting collection.

Nice, Martin.

I think Adrian will take it, as long as mushy peas are included!

Isn't that a quote from Shakespeare's Richard III?

Sorry to see that Black go, Adrian, but at least you've made Brenda a happy woman.
