I was looking for something like this and stumbled on this thread. It's quite amazing how the 16710 appears more similar to its predecessor released 50 years prior vs it's successor released 10 years later.
Rolex has evolved greatly once going to the super cases and ceramic bezels, but I wish Tudor at least could continue taking up the mantle of releasing "heritage" watches that also have similar dimensions to the Rolexes/Tudors of yesteryear. Closest thing to being able to buy a 4 or 5 digit Rolex brand new from the Ad. Before they went completely in-house, I wish they had just utilized an ETA 2893-2 or SW 330-2 to make a much more compact BB GMT. I would sacrifice the traveler's GMT function for the much smaller watch. |
