Pierre and FPJ the brand want to get to know someone before they sell anything to them. It’s of utmost importance they allocate the watches to collectors.

If you flip a Journe he will know about it like Santa Claus and you get coal.

They view secondary pricing as absurd and think you’d be a fool to pay it.

Mr Journe seems content with the production where it is.

They raised prices seemingly to disincentivize flippers. The resonance was underpriced from the beginning according to him and that’s more of a correction. Black labels were bumped 25% seemingly to lessen the amount of people who will ask for one.

Fun sidebar he was wearing a red OP41 as he was skiing on vacation.

He was adamant not to take watches too seriously. They are just watches nothing more.

When asked if they’d do a watertight piece aside from the elegante he said unlikely as FP doesn’t take any interest in playing sports etc

Collectors can expect to be allocated no more than 1 mechanical watch per year from here on out.

Since you’re Canadian he mentioned they would keep that outlet in Canada open contrary to the all boutique plan due to CA having some of the “worst import laws” in the world or something of that nature. I have no idea that means specifically but none the less don’t expect them to close it.

There were numerous stories and things I can’t recall. He was very generous with his time and answered all questions asked.
