Nice shots! And good fit of the context with the rubber strap dress of watch.

My build is deep blue, double index, red tip, brushed bracelet, and grey rubber strap. Looking forward to it!

Do the guarantee the current retail price? If not, chances are you’ll pay close to msrp

One Czapek dealer said they aren’t taking any more orders for the antarctique. Website is now around July 2023.

Their website is a bit wonky. Some of the links say sold out and you can't order and other links take you to a page to build your spec and reserve a spot.

I’m so torn between the dark blue dial with brushed bracelet and grey rubber (my current build), or the white dial with the same. Most of my watches are black dial, I have one diver with blue dial, and one dress/complication with white dial. Looking for the Czapek to be versatile and wear with almost anything. So torn!

(Insert wicked evil devious laugh here) Well, yeah, get both.

Since my collection is 'littered' with blue dials, I'm going white (Monochrome). Then you can throw any strap from rubber to leather to exotics. Well, at least that's my plan.

You mentioned the Monochrome version a couple of times. Are you still waiting for one? (thought the had already released all of them).

I might be color blind but is the Monochrome dial a white one (and not light grey or silver)?

Some small production delays, should be delivered soon.

Great question! Here's the details from Monchrome website....

'Up until now, the Czapek Antarctique has been released with two types of textured dials: the inaugural Terre Adélie collection decorated using the lamé technique and the Passage de Drake with its flinqué dial. For our Montre de Souscription 2, we’ve worked with Czapek on yet another texture and colour that best represents MONOCHROME. The matte grained dial with its discreet silvery-white colour creates a coherent style with the case, making this Antarctique model even more integrated! Subtle, legible, elegant and easy to wear in any situation."

"Unlike anything you’ve seen from Czapek in the past, this new grained dial referred to as “Monochrome White” has a novel texture and colour. To animate this discreet, understated base... while the new inscription “Automatique” at 6....."

Wow, just discovered Czapek over the last few days and I have to say, I love the Antarctique, the movement they designed for it and the people that are behind these watches. To the point that I already ordered the Passage de Drake in what I thought was a great sporty looking combination: black ink 12, full red second hands, brushed only, black calf red top stitches. Manufacturing date is June 28, 2023 but I feel they will stop taking orders soon so took the plunge. Thanks TRF for introducing me to Czapek!

Congrats for pulling the trigger. Your build is very tempting. And I’m sure after they reveal to the wide public the 38.5mm version at W&W, their production calendar will fill in within days.

That was my thinking. I pulled trigger on 40.5 as my experience with shrinking the size is that it does not always work super well. Will see if I like the 38.5 at W&W, I figured I can always change my order to 38.5 after seeing them given the manufacturing date being 16 months away

I got an update email about a week or so ago. Waiting on case backs, as the first batch is ready to ship other than that.

Some Drake units have been dispatched without deplo and pin removal tool to anticipate the delivery (balance provided later). Maybe this time yours is arriving without case back. :-)
Jokes apart, hope it will be delivered soon! Some delays are physiological with these prod volumes and this sudden rump up of demand.

This just in:

Czapek & Cie introduces two new limited editions to our chronograph Faubourg de Cracovie range. The Purple Panda, where the Résonance hand-made guilloché motif is colored in an unprecedented purple hue, and the California Blue, with a California dial, giving it a vintage feel.

Both timepieces are powered by the Czapek SXH3 caliber, made by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier in a bespoke execution for Czapek. It is a COSC-certified, integrated column-wheel chronograph with vertical engagement and high frequency - 36,000 vibrations per hour or 5 Hertz. An automatic haute horlogerie movement, with excellent finishes such as sandblasting and snailed finish.

Only 18 being offered (29,000 CH). And if you're a flipper and flip this, I'll personally hunt you down. i have special skills, and these skills....

I think that looks awesome. That said there is no juice for flipping this or any czapek I would guess. Which is a good thing for enthusiasts.

Am very hesitant posting this as there is 'juice', yet don't want to... that type of activity. Wish we could back to 1990. Wonder how many here were enthusiasts in 1990?

Not being alive yet sure does make it difficult to be an enthusiast.
