Rolex Day Date 128235 real or fake?
Hello! I recently purchased this Rolex Day Date 128235 36mm everose grey market, and while I fully trust the dealer, I still need to get it officially authenticated to get it insured. But before I send it off to RSC, thought it would be helpful to see what this crowd thinks, as I’ve read many times over members here can spot a fake super quickly. I understand that if RSC receives a counterfeit, they won’t return it. So before I take any such risk (and risk my full refund from the dealer), I wanted to run it by you all. Hope you’re willing to help take a look and appreciate it in advance.
The watch still has all the stickers on it and it came with box and papers. And apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this- am new to the forum. |

That will give you your answer.

Whilst there might not be anything leaping out in pics, that doesn't mean too much, fakes are very good.
If I'd dropped this much coin on a watch, rather than take the word of a bunch of internet strangers , I'd want something a bit more concrete. From whom did you buy it ?

One thing that replicas can never get right is the weight. That watch should be HEAVY. Not just sorta heavier than other watches, but noticably heavy. It doesn't feel like a lump of lead in your hands, if it doesn't then you have your answer.

Am I wrong ? Im basing my opinion on a few things but the endlinks look incorrect. The new style flows into the case seamlessly, these look like the old style. Also brushing/color looks off. Dial actually looks decent so maybe Im wrong.

At a minimum I have problems with the bracelet because it seems incorrect for the reference.

People buy fakes online and when they get the watch it's not what they expected. They think it will be as good as a real Rolex because that's what these high end fake websites claim. I'm this case the OP received the fake watch he bought, picked it up and it felt like it was made of rattling tin cans rather than 18k gold. He probably spent over $500 on that and feels like he made a foolish purchase. So in order to justify wearing it, he posts it here to see if it passes the smell test. If real Rolex owners here can't tell, he should be able to wear it in public or at his job without being called out for wearing a fake. Then at least he can wear it without the fear or being embarrassed at the same time justifying the money he wasted was worth it.

Pics are too low rez. But it looks suspect to me. I'd send it in to RSC to confirm. Easier to verify in hand for sure.

Yeah looking again the bracelet is wrong. The end links that connect to the watch are like that for an oyster bracelet but it has president links.
Overall I'd be suspect. Sent from my SM-F711U using Tapatalk |

A real rolex feels different in hand than even a super clone. Especially a 18k gold one.

Perhaps the OP got the reference wrong... The bracelet in the photo corresponds to the 118235 DD. The newer 128235 reference feature the seemless flowing bracelet.
