Icon19 Need some advise on watch trade

Hi all, what do think of the following trade? Would you go ahead with it?

Explorer 2 227650 Black Dial (Jan 2022 excellent condition) + Datejust 36 Silver, palm motif Oyster, 36 mm, Oystersteel and Everose gold (brand new dated Feb 2022) with a 126710BLNR GMT-Master II, 40 mm, Oystersteel (brand new dated Mar 2022) + some cash back...

Would you go for it? I like my Explorer 2 alot but also took a liking to the Batman recently..

Would you go for it?

Sorry have no idea what a batman or batgirl is with a oyster bracelet, you must do what you must do but first learn the proper references for the watches.

Why are you trading a watch you just bought? Seems like you should enjoy what you have for some time before thinking about trading. Otherwise this pattern will never end.

Well although now 79 years old and have studied and digested the history of the RWC for the past 50 odd years. If I can remember most of the reference numbers for Rolex watches I am sure many others can with out the help of silly nicknames. Although my brain in like a huge cupboard filled with information must admit sometimes its takes longer to remember and access it have a nice day.

Well perhaps to those that have been stereo typed into thinking its a woman's watch, but the 36mm DJ is still the biggest selling Rolex watch world wide where millions are bought and worn by real men daily.

100% 36mm is for everyone. As was 34. In fact come to think of it can’t we all just do whatever we want.

Might get me a 31 and wear it scuba diving to wind up some haters

In the real world, yes.

In here, not so much. Do I like this watch? Should I buy this watch? Does this watch fit me? I can't decide which watch to buy, please tell me. My AD said XYZ. Should I believe them? How do I build a relationship with someone? Etc.....

Well if men insist on buy those then they aren’t woman watch, are they.

Although I don’t own a 36mm I have to say that’s a silly perspective.

36mm was worn for decades by many of a generation that are far more masculine than the men today on IG asking if their watch size makes their wrist look big or small.

So, an Explorer 2 + a DJ36 Palm motif TT in exchange for a BLNR plus cash back to you? All new this year? How much cash back to you?

This 34mm was my grandfathers who fought in WW2. It’s in my monthly rotation. To each their own I guess….

And to the OP, hope you enjoy the watch however the trade went

Sooo…Explorer 2 + TT DJ for a 126710 BLNR + Cash?

As long as the cash is right then yes. The BLNR is excellent.

Don’t worry about XXmm … that watch looks terrific on you, period! It’s great that you wear your granddad’s watch.

Is not about self confidence is about size bro and sorry to say size matter despite what someone think.

If you have a wrist if 19cm simply a 34-36 mm watch nowadays (no WW2) is quite suboptimal proportion

I would not do this trade, the 126710 BLNR and BLRO for that matter are overhyped steel watches. You have 2 nice watches in the DJ and Exp, nice to wear on rotation or dependant upon the situation. So its a big fat NO from me im afraid.

So confident in your subjective opinion and yet so wrong. Remarkable. The marketplace differs from your opinion because as you initially pointed out men keep buying 36mm watches. Keep talking just to hear yourself talk, the marketplace has already proved you wrong.
