Any hope of another 2-line Submariner?

Any predictions whether Rolex will ever release another 2-line Submariner?

Would there be any interest in a less-cluttered dial on the classic dial?

Drop the “small print” resembling the list of ingredients on a snack food item?

I wish there was a less cluttered dial on every model. They are all officially certified superlative chronometers. Why mess up the dials with all the writing? Put it on the case back. Screw the tradition.

I’d love it.

They could easily eliminate the Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified from the dial, and move it to the caseback

Love the idea but better chance of 8 line Submariner before a 2 liner the way all these brands like to print every single horological accolade on the dial

No.
I just acquired some 4 digit subs instead, and recommend similar

Sadly, dials are looking more like a newspaper every iteration. Zero probability of a 2 liner.

As nice as it would be, I don't think so.

Two liners are so uncluttered.

Put the depth rating on the back and make it a one-liner while they're at it.

None, that's why the 14060M is the last of the best.

Would be nice, but I’m thinking it’s unlikely.

Any ideas on why Rolex opts to leave the SCOC rating on the dial? It is clutter and without it would make for a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing dial/watch

They've been putting it on chronometers since the late 1950s, and before that without the "superlative", so it's unlikely they'll stop now.

I don't think so. 2-Liner "SWISS" only FTW.

I agree. I thought recently that I would trade my 14060M for the current 124060, but after reading all the admiring posts for the 14060M / “2 Liner” … I have decided to keep mine, and forego the 12 Series.

I do, however, own the 12 Series “Bluesy”, and love the size and proportions of that watch (and the Glidelock) …
the choice to keep the 14060M is based purely on the aesthetics of the watch … and a big part of that, I think, is the simplicity / clean look of the 2 Lines.

PS … I cannot imagine Rolex ever going back to just 2 lines.

No chance as all mechanical movements are tested at the Swiss COSC to bare the name chronometer on the dial. Although the 14060M before they were tested was exactly the same movement as the ones that were tested in the 4 line versions.
